HEALDTON -- Services for Bobby Wayne Nipp, 50, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy May officiating. Interment will follow at Simon Cemetery in Love County.
Born on Jan. 2, 1955, in Simon to Charles Floyd Nipp and Leona GeorgeAnn Chisum Hembree, he died on April 13, 2005, following a motorcycle accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and Dillard Road. He was preceded in death by his father George Clint "Mutt" Hembree on Oct. 30, 1999. Raised in Simon, he graduated from Turner High School in 1973 and went to work for Uniroyal Tire Company, now Michelin. In July of this year he would have been employed there 32 years. He and Brenda Lee Wright were married on Sept. 21, 1987, in Greenville. They lived a few years in Ardmore, in Lone Grove for 10 years and in Healdton the past 5½ years.

Survivors include his wife and children of the home, Brandon Wayne Nipp, Dakota Andrew Nipp and MaKayla Rose Nipp, a son, Johnny Nipp, Healdton, and a daughter, Melanie Martin, Ringling; a sister, Betty Tyler, Marietta; his mother, Leona Hembree, Healdton; two brothers, Charles Hembree, Thackerville, and Jerry Hembree, Madill, and five grandchildren.

Bearers are Jed Jones, Terrell Tucker, Curtis Nipp, Joe Russell, Clinton Stradlay, Jimmy "Ringo" Swader, Charlie Gray and Dennis Vernon. Honorary bearers are Michelin employees.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Alexander Funeral Home.
