Morris was born in Navasota, Texas. He was the 1st son of Fanthorp D. Magee and Rose Kennedy Magee. He was married to Rhoda Izetta "Zettie" Greer, they had three children - Dorothy Corrine Magee, Rosa Louise Magee and Morris Eugene Magee, Jr. Morris served in the Navy in World War I.
