LUFKIN, Texas, Dec. 16. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Parrish Wilkerson, who was fatally injured when struck by a car in the east park of Lufkin last Thursday evening, were held at the Church of Christ, with Rev. W. S. Moody officiating.
Mrs. Wilkerson died at the Angelina county hospital 30 minutes after the accident. She was hit by a car driven by Clifton Kirkland, a close friend of the family, when she walked in front of the car wile watching another automobile. Kirkland stopped his car immediately and called an ambulance.
