Catherine T. "Kay" vonAhnen, 63, a longtime resident of Forest City and Clinton Township, died Thursday night at Mercy Hospital after an illness. She was married for 37 years to William vonAhnen, who died Nov. 20, 2002.

Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Moraski Graytock and was a 1963 graduate of Forest City High School. Before retiring, she was a seamstress at Art's for Him, Honesdale, for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, and gardening, and was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are five sons, Christopher, Olyphant; William, Gouldsboro; Jonathon, Dickson City; Michael, San Antonio; and Mark, Carbondale; two daughters, Celeste Collier, Princeton, Texas; and Cathleen Mall, Easton; two brothers, Francis Graytock, Forest City; and Joseph Graytock, Endicott, NY; three sisters, Rosemarie Bintliff, Richmondale; Lucy Smith, Carbondale; and Mary Remus, Forest City; two grandchildren, Lucas and Josephine Collier; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, with services by the Rev. William D. Campbell, St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Clinton Center Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, 7 to 9 p.m.
