Gladys A. Zimmerman, 57, of Ephrata

Gladys A. Zimmerman, 57, of 451 Linden Grove Road, Ephrata, died Sunday morning at home after a brief illness.

A homemaker, she was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school classes.

She was treasurer of the Farmersville Fire Company auxiliary and president of Terre Hill TOPS.

Born in East Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Martin M. and Mabel I. Weber Hoover.

She was married 33 years on Sept. 14 to Ivan M. Zimmerman.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Sharon F., married to Jeff Faulkner of Belleville, and Judy L., married to Anthony Groff of East Earl; a son, I. Lee, married to Lisa Martin Zimmerman of Akron; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Glenn, married to Barb Rohrer Hoover of East Hempfield; and five sisters, Mildred, married to Harold Martin of Lititz, Linda, married to Roland Stutzman of Birmingham, Ala., Eileen, married to Amos Newswanger of Ephrata, Marlene, married to Ron Ressler of Millersville, and Thelma, married to Clair Stoltzfus of East Earl.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Mervin Hoover.
