Leonard Gaeth Adkins, 73, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at his daughters home in Muscatine. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. at Cranston Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Lonny Small, Jr., Thomas Powell, Danny Powell, Donald Foor, Rosendo Ramos, Jr., and Jeff Mulnix. Honorary Casketbearers will be Al Long, Robert Ash and Scotty Yordt. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Pearl City Outreach. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Leonard. Leonard was born on October 16, 1934 in Fairfield, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Darlene Burton in Muscatine and Stella Hale on September 25, 1994 in Laurens, Iowa. Leonard was baptized at the Salvation Army. During his life he had worked as a Taxi Driver, Carny and or Beach Lumber, Hahn Gravel and WonderBread. He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, spending time with his family and visiting with his friends as the Pearl City Outreach.

Leonard will be deeply missed by his wife, Stella Adkins of Illinois; one daughter, Teresa Small and her husband, Lonny of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Jay Small, Jazzmine Small, Lonny Small, Jr., Bradley Small, Jon Small, and Shala Small; one great-grandson, Dominique James Little and one step great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Ann Foor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Darlene, one brother, Raymond Douglas and two sisters, Gertrude "Gertie" and Cecil.
