Freeport – Gregory A. Schofield, 22, of Freeport died Sunday, October 11, 1998 at his home. He worked with his father and brother in the family business, Schofield Plumbing & Heating, for six years. He was a member of Embury United Methodist Church, Freeport Moose Lodge, and Freeport Eagles Club. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1994.
A son of Wayne A. and Cheryl (Robertson) Schofield, he was born August 25, 1976 in Freeport. Surviving family members include his parents of Freeport; his grandparents, Jack and Arvilla Schofield of Kent, and Donald Robertson Sr. of Freeport; his great-grandmother, Edna Schreck of Pearl City; two brothers, Bradley W. (Tiffany) and Danny Schofield of Freeport; one sister, Tina Schofield of Freeport; and one niece, Kaylee Schofield of Freeport. Preceding him in death were great-grandparents, his grandmother and one sister, Carolyn.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Embury United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stephen Aram officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home.
