I found Vernon's death record on the Shelby Co. TN site and it has he was divorced when he died, I'm assuming from wife Helen McKee Starnes. Her death record has she was a widow when she died and I don't think she ever married again so I'm sure she was Vernon's widow. They were married on Dec. 13, 1941 in Arkansas. His parents are also buried in this cemetery and are linked to him, also his daughter Patsy Gail, his other children are Brenda, Gary, Nathan, Terry and Vernon Darryl Starnes.
