The funeral of Mrs. Robert J. Brevard, widow of the late Dr. Robert J. Brevard, who died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Baxter S. Moore, in Myers Park, were held from St. Martin's Episcopal church yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. John Long Jackson, rector of St. Martin's, officiated, and interment occurred in Elmwood cemetery.

The following acted as pallbearers: A. J. Draper, F. M. Caldwell, W. M. Jones, T. P. Moore, H. M. McAden, J. R. Wilkes, Walter M. Failor and Lewis C. Burwell.

The late husband of Mrs. Brevard was very prominent in this section, and was at one time mayor of Charlotte. Dr. Brevard died in 1905.

Mrs. Brevard was, before her marriage, Miss Mary Stoney, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. James Stoney, of York, S. C. She was an active member of St. Martin's Episcopal church, was a member of the board of governors of the Crittendon home and was prominently connected with other religious and charitable institutions and organizations. Mrs. Brevard has suffered ill health for more than a month before her death.

Surviving are one son, Robert J. Brevard, of Long Beach, cal.; one daughter, Mrs. Baxter S. Moore, of Myers Park; and three grandchildren, Robert Brevard, Annie Wylie Moore and Baxter S. Moore, of Myers Park.
