Miranda was the daughter of Allen Turner Whittington B.31 Mar.1816 & Mary Martha 'Polly' King.B.30 Mar.1816. Maranda's Grandfather and Grandmother is (James King born 1781 Craven co.NC. married Penny Jackson B. 1790. It is said Penny was a full blooded Choctaw Indian and the daughter of a Chief. It is said James held great honor with the Indians after the death of the chief and was appointed chief. Reference By Thurmon Flurry.
