Paul Boyer Rites Thursday
Paul E. Boyer, 79, former resident, died Saturday of a heart attack while enroute to Tucson, Arizona to visit his son, Fred Boyer.
Services will be held Thursday in North Carolina and the body is at the Wall-Glade Funeral Home, Winston-Salem, N.C.
He was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., April 24, 1893. He came to Petoskey in the 1930's and farmed in the Harbor Springs area. He also was employed at Michigan Maple Block and retired from there and returned to Clemmons, N.C., in 1961.
He married the former Nora Lashmit in North Carolina in April 1913 and she preceded him in death in April 1968.
Mr. Boyer is survived by two sons, Harvey, of Petoskey and Fred, of Tucson,Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Conroy, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
