Betty Louise O'Dell, 74, Rayville MO, passed away Saturday July 26, 2008 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Kansas City.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery Excelsior Springs. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Betty was born on September 18, 1933 in Richmond, the daughter of Charles Fredrick and Velma Juanita (Fuller) Bellis. On November 3, 1951 in Huntsville, Arkansas, she married Jack O'Dell.
Betty retired from Liberty Hospital where she worked in the lab. She had also worked for the State School in Higginsville and for Whitaker Cable.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, camping, reading, watching the birds and quilting.
Survivors include her husband Jack of the home, four daughters: Jaqueline Brookshier and husband Mike of Fayetville, Arkansas, Carol Lentz of Excelsior Springs, Amy Kilgore of Excelsior Springs, and Anita Templeton of Liberty; three sons: Kenneth O'Dell of Lawson, Neil O'Dell of Rayville, and Jack Allen O'Dell of Liberty; 17 grand-children and 26 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother Charles F. Bellis, Jr.
