Mrs.Ada Showers Bailey, 72, a resident of Fulton since 1930, died at 1:15 a. m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Brewer, at 908 Morningside Drive. She had been ill for the past several years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Browning Funeral Home. The Rev. Sam McLerran will officiate and burial will be in White Cloud Cemetery west of Fulton.
Mrs. Bailey was born on February 5 1892, at Ashley, Mo.{Pike co.}, the daughter of Billy and Cynthia Newman Showers.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Irene Whitmore of Fulton, Mrs. Elmer Wright, Kansas City, Mrs. William Jenkins,Washington, Mo. Mrs. Charles Turner, Columbia and Mrs. Jack Baker, Columbia: two sons, Vane Bailey, Boonville, and Eddie Bailey of Mokane; one sister Mrs. Mabel Adragna,of Harvey, Ill.; 25 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death
