Mr. Weikle was born in Decatur, son of William David and Leota Weikle. He was a farmer in the Maroa area from 1930 to 1950 and worked at A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. for 23 years before retiring in 1974. He married Maxine Stanley-Quinlan in 1952.
Surviving are his wife; sons, James E. Quinlan of Amber, Okla.; Michael Quinlan of Decatur; daughters, Betty Berry of Piper City; Judith Gregory of Bethany; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Three sisters preceded him in death.
