Michael C. Quinlan, 67, died at 9:15 p.m. yesterday in his home at 1128 North Calhoun Street.
Mr. Quinlan retired last year after working 15 years as a packer at Parke Warehouses. Before that he was with Hamman Bros. and Meridith Storage Co.
He was a member of the Third Evangelical United Brethren church, Stephen Decatur lodge, No. 979, the Grotto, Macon chapter, No. 21 and Beaumanoir Commandery, No. 9.
He was born in Pittsfield Dec. 1, 1883, a son of Phillip and Bridget Quinlan. He came to Decatur 35 years ago.
On Aug. 4, 1940 he was married to Etta N. Miller, in St. Louis, Mo.
He leaves his wife, two sons, James M., Decatur, and William T., Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Beasley, Decatur, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Eathel O'Malley, Decatur. There is a sister, Mrs. Mary Sullivan, Springfield, and eight grandchildren.
Two sons and a brother preceded him in death.
The body is at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Third Evangelical United Brethren church with burial in Salem cemetery south of Decatur.
