Dies in Sanatorium
Charles M. Cole, 58, of 1104 East Mueller Avenue, died at 3:45 a.m. today in the Macon County Tuberculosis sanatorium, where he had been a patient since November.
Mr. Cole, who had been in failing health for eight years, had lived in Decatur for the last 32 years. He had been employed by the Swift Poultry Co.
He was born in Ramsey, Sept. 10, 1889, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Cole.
He leaves his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Sage of Decatur, and two sisters, Mrs. Cora M. Vincent and Mrs. Irene J. York of Decatur.
The body is at Moran & Sons funeral home, where friends may call after noon Thursday. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Graceland cemetery.
