Manny was the loving father of two daughters. Enell was the youngest of the two, I never met her older sister. He was also the loving step-father to Ralph Carl, Alex Paige, Carla, and Mark Lunig Brown as well as husband to Marie Burnardo.

The care and devotion he lent to his family extended well beyond the direct family circle as each of the Brown offspring had adopted friends that were treated as members of the family. I am one of those fortunate few. In good times and in bad Manny stood as a gentle protective presence that could become quite formidable when his family was threatened. In 1979, my mother passed away and it was Marie and Manny that insisted brother and sister (myself and my sister) spend that first Christmas after losing Mom, together. Just one of the countless acts of kindness, charity and family offered by this most wonderful man.

He made his living as a mechanic and enjoyed traveling and seeing the country side. Of greek descent, he also enjoyed cooking and playing his trumpet, this instrument stood in plain view at this funeral at the Masonic Temple where he was a member a symbol of one of his favorite pleasures.

It was this same trumpet he played at my 18th birthday well into the early hours of the morning while my friends stood and sung every Beatles song he could play.

He is greatly missed by all who have survived him.

Thank you Marie, Manny, Ralph, Alex, Carla and Mark
