ZAMORA Charles - A. Zamora, 82, passed away Sept. 4, 2004. in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. A Veteran of both World War II and the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeants, Charles moved to Jacksonville with his family in 1959 eventually residing in Jacksonville Beach. Charles leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife of 56 years, Lucy Zamora; his sons; Ronald Charles Zamora and Gregory Archibald Zamora; a sister, Virginia Moreno,; and many adoring nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation took place on Friday, September 10, 2004 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home. A funeral mass took place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Mayport Rd. on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Interment was at Arlington Park Cemetery where Mr. Zamora was honored by the military honor guard.
