PADUCAH WOMAN KILLED IN CRASH
(no photo) A 48-year-old Paducah, Ky., woman was killed instantly near Henderson Saturday morning when the car in which she was riding left the highway, crashed into a ditch and struck a culvert abutment. The victim was identified by State Trooper Max Gary as Mrs. Evelyn Motes. He said the woman was seated between her husband, Casie Lee Motes, who was driving, and Merrel Gage, also of Paducah. Motes and Gage are both listed in fair condition at General Hospital here with multiple contusions. They were brought to the hospital by a Casey Funeral Home ambulance. Trooper Gary said the driver apparently lost control of the car. The accident occurred about 8 a.m. come four miles south of Henderson on Highway 45. Mrs. Motes' body is being returned to Paducah.
