Mrs. Harper Dies After Brief Illness
Mrs. John R. Harper, 90. of 116 W. Embargo St.. died this morning at her home after a brief illness. The former Maria Baynes, she was born Aug. 6, 1879 in Rome, daughter of Anthony A. and Mary Garry Baynes.
She was a graduate of The Academy of the Holy Names. On July 23, 1907, she was married to Mr. Harper in St. Peter's Church with the Rev. James J. Carson, officiating. Mr. Harper died Aug. 31, 1941.
he is survived by a daughter, Miss Marie C. Harper, at home; two sons, James A. and Francis B. Harper, both of Rome.
