Born April 28, 1920, in Bloomington, he was the son of W. Ezra and Audrey L. (Stone) Baldridge.
He was retired from RCA after 40 years. During World War II, he was a radio control operator and was a prisoner of war.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, Ex-POW Club, 305th Bomb Group, Monroe County RC Club, and First United Methodist Church. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Survivors include two daughters, Lee Ann Franklin of Bloomington and Lois Joan Baldridge of Marion; one son, Ted W. Baldridge of Marion; his caretaker, Pauline Archer of Bloomington; two sisters, Catherine Lois Finestone of North Carolina and Carol B. Woodburn of Arizona; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean E. (Griffeth) Baldridge, and one brother, Donald Baldridge.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Day Mortuary with the Rev. Dean Jones officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. A celebration of life reception is scheduled at First United Methodist Church following the services.
