Last rites for Mrs. Calanthe Whitehead, 43, wife of William Whitehead of Stockett and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leslie of this city, who died Wednesday in Rochester, Minn., were held at the W. H. George chapel Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. J. A. Martin officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitehead had been in ailing health for some time and had been at the Rochester Clinic for about seven weeks.
She was born near Birmingham, Alabama, June 28, 1893, and with her parents came to Montana when about 4 years old. Living at Stockett for a number of years, she was active in church and civic affairs and a member of the Stockett Pythian Sisters and the Great Falls Degree of Honor.
