Heidi was our beautiful German Shepherd. We adopted her from the Pleasanton Animal Shelter in Pleasanton, CA. She was so gentle with our cats and young children. She didn't like strangers. She would let us know when somebody approached the home. She was a great watch dog. She was like our child. She died too young. She had spleen and lung cancer. She was very protective of her family. We miss her every day. Our Vet, Dr.Ordway, came to our home to put her down. I guess I kept her alive cause I didn't want to let her go. I miss her so much. She is buried on our property.
