Lavina was the oldest child of Joseph and Mary Hovis Fritz. In 1850 the family was living in Venango Twp., Butler Co., PA. Shortly after they relocated to Brady's Bend in Armstrong Co., PA. Lavina married WIlliam Faloon and was the mother of 6 children... Oliver J., Robert W., Cora, Laura Belle, Edith and Mildred.
