Thomas A. Abbott, 54, of rural Bellflower, died March 8, 1997 at his residence. Funeral services will be March 12 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City with burial in Monticello cemetery.
Mr. Abbott was born May 31, 1942 in Monticello, s/o Avery and Anna Thomas Abbott. He married Tonya R. Adams June 16, 1962 in Farmer City. She survives along with his mother, Anna, of Monticello; son, Troy E. of Monticello; daughters: Tamara K. Oakley and Tina Jo Abbott of Monticello; brother, Bill of Monticello; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Abbott was a farmer and salesman for George H. Dunn Inc. in Farmer City. He served in the U.S. Army and was a 1960 graduate of Bellflower High School. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Champaign and the McLean County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to the church.
