WILLITS - Funeral services will be held here tomorrow for Melvin E Carner, retired Willits painter and plumber, who died in Healsburg, Friday, after a long illness. He was 80.
Mr. Carner died in a Healdsburg rest home where he had been a patient for the last year a half.
Funeral will be at 2pm in the chapel of L.P. Anker Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Willits.
Mr. Carner was born in Santa Barbara, California, in 1875, the son of a pioneer family.
He resided in Willits for many years. His last address here was 709 McKinley Avenue.
He is survived by his wife, Lola, and sons Harold E Carner, of San Francisco; Donald E Carner of Nation City, California; Robert N Carner, of Antioch.
He is also survived by three grandchildren.
