Ralph Edward Haupt was the youngest son of Henry Clinton Haupt (b. 1870) and Rebecca (Erdman) Haupt. Ralph Edward Haupt would marry Estella Pensyl in 1928. She was a daughter of Lemuel Y. Pensyl (b. 1871) and Cora (Burd) Pensyl. Estella Pensyl was born May 20, 1909 and died Sept. 28, 1988.

Ralph Edward Haupt's father Henry Clinton Haupt died in 1927. Ralph Edward Haupt married Estella Pensyl in 1928 and began his family. Their children were: Ray J. (b. 1929), Lamar E. (b. 1930), and Daniel D. (b. 1935).

In the early 1940's, this young family would move to Salem County, NJ. They would first settle in Salem, NJ and by the early 1950's were in Lower Penns Neck (now Pennsville, NJ). Ralph Edward Haupt's brother Fred Aren Haupt (and family) and Ralph's mother Rebecca (Erdman) Haupt would settle in Penns Grove / Carney's Point, NJ (also in Salem County). Ralph's mother would die in 1951 and is buried in Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ. Ralph and Estella Haupt would also be buried in Lawnside Cemetery.
