Doris L. L'Amoreaux, 80, of Candor passed away Thursday, July 28, 1994 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.
She was born April 22, 1914 in Ithaca, the daughter of the late Lee and Anna (Ferris) Hulslander.
Doris graduated from Candor High School in 1935. She was a beautician for 40 years having started in 1938. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Photo Club, Book Club, and Home Bureau. She participated as a volunteer in the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. She coordinated and escorted tours for 23 years.
Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Sharon L'Amoreaux, Corning; grandson, Brett L'Amoreaux and granddaughter, Danielle L'Amoreaux, both of Corning; two sisters, Neva Doty, Candor, Vera Jackson, Waterville, NY; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William "Red" L'Amoreaux in 1991.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 31st at 3 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church, Candor with Rev. Kenneth T. F. Small officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday, July 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Candor Ambulance Squad, Candor, NY 13743. Arrangements are by the Allen-Manzer Funeral Home, Spencer.
