She was born December 9, 1849, in Benton County, Arkansas, the daughter of William Carroll and Louisa G. Pearce.
She and William Granville Jones were married December 16, 1868 in Fannin County, Texas. Their children include: Alice (b.1869), Joseph Archie "Joe" (b.1871), Mary "Mollie" (b.1874), William Clay (b.1878), Nellie Arbelle (b.1879), John Luke (b.1882), Cary Monroe (b.1884) and Scott (b.1889).
She was predeeased by her parents; her husband; two sons, William Clay Jones and John Luke Jones; and a brother, George Pearce.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Archie Jones and Cary Monroe Jones; a daughter, Nellie Arbelle Essman; and a brother, Jasper Monroe Pearce.
Burial is in the Cedar Grove Cemetery at Francis, Oklahoma.
