ELM SPRINGS -- George Eldon Pegram, 74, of Elm Springs died Nov. 6, 2007, in Elm Springs. He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Onda, to George Arlin and Edith Hughes Pegram. He was a union boiler maker and painter and was an Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Pegram, in 1993 and an infant daughter, Deanita Kaye.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Pegram of Waco, Texas, James Pegram of Blue Ridge, Texas, and Danny Pegram of Blue Ridge; four daughters, Linda James of Appleton City, Mo., Gayla Christian of Dumas, Texas, Charlotte Harrison of Tyler, Texas, and Connie Tedford of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Milford Pegram of Springdale; three sisters, Lula Barnett of Duncan, Okla., Renelda Forga of Tontitown and Marvie Newkirk of Elm Springs.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale, www.memfuneral.com. The Rev. Bill Trueblood will officiate.
Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Pegram, Shane Pegram, Paul Kinser, Omar Martinez, Denver Forga and Bill James.
