I found a little information on him in the 'Harbaugh History' book (published 1947); he was apparently still alive at the time the book was written. The following is what page 45 had for him:
"Annalee Bettie Harbaugh married August 31, 1940 to Walter Elijah Bailey, Jr., called Lige (b. 4/8/1918 at Carthage). He was in WWII. 37 months, 20th Armored Div. in Europe, as a staff sergeant from 1/28/1943 to 2/14/1946. Son of Walter E. Bailey and Adeline Withers of Springfield, MO. He father was a Judge of Court of Appeals. He is a Baptist, she is a Christian."
