The Weekly Examiner, Moorefield, WV:
Thursday, February 14, 1907 DIED
January 23, 1907 at her home in Fulton county, Pa., Rosie V. Beatty, aged 39 years 1 month and 26 days. The deceased was a daughter of Jasper R. Pownall, of Rio, W. Va., and was born and lived in Hampshire county, until about 20 years ago she was happily married to Isaac Beatty. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, three children (three other children died some years ago), an aged father and three brothers. Mrs. Beatty had for a number of years been a consistent member of the Christian Baptist church and in her last short illness she called her family to her bedside and gave them all an affectionate farewell, telling them not to grieve after her for she was going home to join the loved ones gone before. Thus another dearly loved wife, mother, and daughter has been called from the family circle to the Great Beyond, but her friends have the sweet hope in their sorrow that she is at rest in the Heavenly home. She had been a suffered for a number of years of an incurable disease, but for some months seemed so much improved that her summons came unexpectedly, but found her prepared. May all her dear one and especially the children strive to live as she wished them to do and at last meet her in Heaven.
There whispered a voice
Twas the voice of their God
I love thee I love thee
Pass under the rod.
