T.W. DORRIS DIED IN NEW BLOOMFIELD:
Throat Trouble Caused The Death Of Callaway Resident Friday Morning:
T.W. Dorris, 54 years old, died Friday morning at 5:00 o'clock at his home in New Bloomfield, Callaway Co., Missouri after a lingering illness due to throat trouble. He had been confined to his bed for the greater part of the last year.
Funeral services were held at Union Hill Baptist Church, near Holt Summit, Missouri Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and burial was in the cemetery of that church.
Mr. Dorris was born in Cole County, Missouri in 1876, but had lived in Callaway County, Missouri for many years. He is survived by his wife, formally Miss DOLLY BEHEN, of St. Louis, Missouri, his mother, Mrs. Nancy Dorris, of Jefferson City, Missouri, four sisters and three brothers. They are: Mrs. T. Ed. Carter of New Bloomfield, Mo., Misses Lily and Grace Dorris, both of Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Anna Farmer of Oklahoma City, Okla.. George Dorris of Jefferson City, Mo., Joseph Dorris of Winter Park, Florida and James Dorris of New Bloomfield, Missouri.
Mr. Dorris had been a member of the Baptist for thirty years. Before his illness, he had been a commissioner of the New Bloomfield Special Road District.
