A native of Livingston, he was a resident of the Groves/Port Arthur area for 50 years. He was a retired operator for Texaco Chemical and a runner for J. K. Chevrolet for 13 years. He was a ham radio operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Arthur and a veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10 A.M. Monday at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. L. A. Richardson and the Rev. Phil Sigman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Billie; a daughter Sherrill Lowrey of Dallas; a step-daughter Jean Ann LaGrappe of Sulphur, LA; a stepson Dan Sudduth of Houston,; three sisters, Polly Camp of LaPorte, Bea Wilkerson of Port Arthur and Mary Harper of Titusville, Fla; a brother Jim Martin of Highlands Ranch, CO; one grandson and five step-grandchildren.
