Mrs. Ellen Arnold, of Waggoner, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 1953, at St. Francis hospital, Litchfield, age 91.
She is survived by two sons, Edgar A., of Waggoner; and George E. Arnold, of Girard; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Hyden, of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Remains to Berry funeral home, Girard, where funeral services were held.
Burial in West Grove cemetery, west of Thayer.

∼ELLEN (ELLA) ANN ARNOLD was born March 15, 1863 near Salem, VA, daughter of DENNIS K. FERGUSON and MARY MAGDALENE DUTTON FERGUSON.
She moved with members of her family to the area of Auburn, IL about 1880.
On March 7, 1886 she married EDGAR WILLIS ARNOLD at Virden, IL and they became the parents of three sons, George Edwin, Edgar Andrew and Johny Homer who died at age 7. Their daughters were Edith Ethel who died at age 1 month and daughter Mary "May" Melvina Arnold who died at age 23. Ellen died May 20, 1953 in Montgomery Co, IL.
