Section 79, Lot 3122
Although cemetery records place lot 3122 in section 79, most of the vault of which it a part is actually just across the border of section 94. This is an enormous underground vault comprising many lots. Only a few monuments appear on the mound.

And daughter of Gardiner G. and Louisa Edgar Howland.
Born in New-York Nov. 11. 1817. Died Jan. 14. 1851.

Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 94, Lots 3101-3128, conjoined.
A view of the grave area. Sixteen monuments are distributed across an enormous 28-lot mound over the burial vault of the Howland, Wolcott, and associated families. An enormous uninscribed vault door beckons on the northeast slope of the mound. Most of the 60 individuals buried here are not memorialized in any way on the surface.
