Graveside services for Dr. William Adams Jr., 66, of Reidland will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Kenton Cemetery. The Rev. Jamie Broome will officiate. Dr. Adams died at 11:13 p.m. Monday at Western Baptist Hospital. A Paducah native, he was a dentist here for 38 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Kentucky and was a 1959 graduate of the University of Louisville Dental School. Dr. Adams was a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Cumbee Adams; one daughter, Kimberly Adams Watson of Kevil; one son, William Edward Adams III of Paducah; two sisters, Rilla Felker of Paducah and Jennifer Calder of Orlando, Fla; two uncles; two nephews; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Adams. His parents were William Edward Adams and Virginia E. Jones Adams Gillahan. Friends may call at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah after 5 p.m. today and from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
