Funeral services for Alice Virginia Morris Church, 86, of Birmingham, will be today at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Archibald officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Church died Monday, November 16, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was a native of Decatur and an active member of the Central United Methodist Church for many years. She recently belonged to the Huffman United Methodist Church in Birmingham. She was a retired cosmetologist.
Mrs. Church was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Westmoreland Morris; three brothers, Walter Webster Morris, Harvey Alexander Morris, and Theo Tribble Morris; and one sister, Lucille Morris Parker.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace D. Church, Birmingham; one son, Donald K. Church, Birmingham; one brother, Donald Westmoreland Morris, Huntsville; one grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
