Mrs. Appelgate was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma. Born in Cape May, she was a life-long resident until she moved to Gallup nine years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Harriet J. Thomas of Gallup, N.M; two sisters, Mildred Tozour of Erma and Julia Tozour of Rio Grande; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday followed by burial at the Tabernacle Cemetery in Erma. Friends may call at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., Lower Township on Friday after 10 a.m.
