Mary Irene 'Ann' England, 88, of Sullivan passed away 9:35 a.m. Sunday March 6, 2005 in Sullivan Health Care Center, Sullivan.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials: Sullivan Health Care or Sullivan Meals on Wheels.
Mary was born October 1, 1916 in Sullivan the daughter of William Carson and Orilee Green Risley. She married Ernest England August 11, 1935 in Charleston. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company, Sullivan. She then was employed by Green Thumb. Mary received numerous recognitions and awards from Meals on Wheels and the thrift Shop. Whether we knew her as Mom, Grandma, Granny, Sister, friend we all loved her with all our hearts. We have the Christian values and morals she practiced and taught in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her daughters; Carroll Sebens and husband Fred; Marilyn Leonard and husband Jack; Betty Mode and husband Marvin; Judy Featheringill and husband Barry; Donna Holland and husband Bill; Georgia England wife of son Gerald 'Griz' England, all of Sullivan; sisters, Lorene Pryor and husband Curt of Sullivan; Olive Huber of Charleston; Eileen Ray of Bruce; brothers, George Risley and wife Virginia of Sullivan and Bill Risley and wife Flossie of Arthur; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest, one son, Gary 'Griz' England, two brothers, Paul and Henry and one grandson Bob Leonard.
