Mrs. Murphy was born on a farm in Ford County, the daughter of Arthur and Josephine Jehle Ark. She was a 1948 graduate of Melvin High School.
Surviving are her husband, Harlan B. Murphy, whom she married Sept. 2, 1950; four sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Guadalupe of Fort Worth, Texas, Dave and Cindi of Oak Creek, Wis., Jim and Jeannine of Carrollton, Texas, Ron and Wanda of Challis, Idaho; seven grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren; two great grandchildren and two stepgreat grandchildren; and one niece.
Deceased are three brothers, Robert, Andrew and twin, Paul.
