Born in Jefferson County, he was a son of Raymond and Ella McClure. He was a retired employee of Brown Shoe Co. and a member of the Pentacostal Church in Sullivan. He married Alma England in 1931, and she survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Barbara Gaddis of Portage, Ind., Cleo Puyear of Dalton City and Beverly Pervis of Mattoon; sisters, Jewell Dare of Opdyke, Dollie Watkins of Belle Rive, Margaret Stevens of Mattoon and Pansy Kendall of Sacramento, Cal.
