Edward Schaefer

Edward Schaefer, 54, of Hilbert, passed away Monday morning at Denver, Colo., where he had been staying for the past three and a half weeks following a long illness.
Born Dec. 15, 1898, at Brillion, he was married to Alwina Eggert on April 14, 1921, at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church at Potter. He followed the carpenter trade and was a resident of Hilbert the past 32 years.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Eldred Priebe of Hilbert; two grandchildren; a brother Fred of Hilbert; four half-brothers, Ervin and Milton Behnke of Brillion, Waldemar of Reedsville and Robert of Valders; one half-sister, Mrs. Milton Mitschke of Van Dyne; four step-sisters, Mrs. Alvina Thurow, Mrs. Mamie Priebe and Mrs. William Fischer of Brillion and Mrs. Laura Hartz of Hilbert; three step-brothers, Fred and Herman Behnke of Brillion and Henry Behnke of Whitelaw.
Friends may call at the Techtman-Wieting Funeral home at Hilbert from 7 o'clock this evening until 11 a.m. Thursday, and then at the Peace Evangelical Reformed Church from noon Thursday until 2 p.m. when services will be conducted by the Rev. Warren Mueller. Burial will be made in the Potter cemetery.
