Verle "Bill" Clayton Cothern, aged 74, passed away August 11, 2008 at home. Born March 26, 1934 in Slate, WVA. Preceded in death by parents,Guy and Hazel (Sims) Cothern; siblings,Guy Cothern Jr, Maxine Dennis, Howard Cothern, Randal Cothern and Kathleen Parker; and wife, Emmaline "Jean". Survived by sons, Randal Bridges, Robert (Barb) Peer, George (Carol) Coverdale: 4 grandchildren, Tamara Peer, Kirk Peer, Troy Coverdale and Melanie Coverdale and several great-grandchildren. Nephews, Gary Kuehner, Michael (Kathy) Cothern, Billy Summers, Joe (Vickie )Summers , James Summers, David (Alberta) Sims; Neices, Sandra Campbell, Brandy (Allen Thompson) Deering, Monica (Chuck Martin) Deering, Lisa (Eric) Bassham, Donna (Tim) Duey, Mary (Berlis) Thornsberry, Darlene (Lloyd) Arnott, Lynne Cothern; Sisters in Law, Ruth Cothern, Naomi Thompson; many other neices, nephews and other family.
