Iona May Strayer, 72, of Sterling died Thursday, January 3, 2002 in Sterling.
Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Mickey Flaska officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. Arrangements were made by Tennant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Strayer was born 19 August 1929 to Samuel and Marie (Cameron) Martin in Denver.
She lived in Santa Maria, California from 1959 to 1972. She returned in Colorado in 1972, living in Julesburg, Akron, Holyoke and Sedgwick. She later moved to Sterling. She was a member of the Colorado State Rural School Choir in Englewood.
She was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Strayer is survived by one son, Carl Strayer Jr of Sterling; and one sister, Joann Egglestone of Commerce City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sr in 1991.
