"The funeral of Grandmother Wolf as she was familiarly called, took place from the M.E. church last Thursday afternoon, in the presence of a large concourse of friends and relatives. She was one of the old landmarks in the M.E. church. An interesting and consoling discourse was preached by her pastor, Rev. James, after which her remains were laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery near our city. Her end was peace. Mrs. Mary A. Wolf was born in Lancaster county, Pa., June 11, 1812, and at the time of her death was aged 83 years, 5 months and 8 days. She came to Keithsburg with her husband, Jacob Wolf, in 1856, and had since resided here. Four daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wolf, two of whom, Mrs. J. C. Humphreys and Mrs C. B. Fleming, are deceased; Mrs. J.J. Kauffman, of this place, and Mrs. Wm Logan, of Abington, survive."
