EL PASO -- The funeral for John Joseph McGinn, 64, who was killed in an auto accident Thursday evening on U S 24 west of Eureka will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St Mary's Catholic Church. Officiating at the requiem high mass will be the Rev Walter McGinn, a brother of the deceased, as celebrant along with the Rev James J Kerrins, deacon, the Rev V J Valquette, sub-deacon assisted by the Rt Rev Msgr B J Sheedy. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Vincent Memorial Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

He was born Jan 6, 1900 in Chatsworth, a son of James and Catherine Lawless McGinn. He married Alice Cleary Jan 7, 1924 in El Paso. They resided in Chicago where he was employed by Abbott Drug Laboratories. They came to El Paso three years ago. She died Sept 13, 1963.

Surviving are one brother, Father McGinn of Champaign and a sister, Mrs Adeline Laffey, Champaign. Two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a Navy veteran of World War I, a member of St Mary's Church, the Holy Name Society, El Paso American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
