Marriage of Well Known Villagers Told
"Friends here this week received word of the marriage Aug. 14 of Cecile Winifred Gilman and A. B. Crist, well known Palm Springs and Hollywood builder. The announcement was made by Mrs. A. G. Fisher, Mrs. Crist’s mother, Mrs. Crist, the former Mrs. Gilman, is a member of one of California’s oldest families. She is the widow of the late Forrest Gilman, founder of Gilman's Hot Springs who died in the spring of 1947.
Mr. Crist, active in construction circles here and in and around Los Angeles since 1913, and his bride have been friends for many years. Last season she managed the Sun Tan lodge here. Following a honey moon tour of the nation they returned to the southland and plan to divide their time between a home here, where they both own property and Los Angeles where they plan to build. "
