He was declared missing in action on 21 Oct 1861 at The Battle of Ball's Bluff, Leesburg, Virginia.
On 20 Nov 1861 in the "Worcester Daily Spy," Henry was listed among the prisoners taken at Ball's Bluff and listed as a prisoner at Richmond.
On 22 Feb 1862 in "The New York Times", Henry was mentioned in an article about the return of prisoners under a flag of truce.
On 17 Sep 1862 Henry was wounded in the face at The Battle of Antietam, and on 27 Feb 1863 he ended military service with the 15th Massachusetts by discharge due to disability from wounds received in action.
In Mar 1894 Susan, his wife, received a widow's pension based on Henry's service.
