Marcus Eugene Simes, Sr., 68, died May 23, 2007 at his home. He was born in Vero Beach and was raised in Sebastian. He moved to Manassas, VA and returned to Sebastian two years ago.
He was employed by Phillips & Jordan Inc. in Zephryhills and worked in the construction industry for over 50 years.
He was a member of Masonic Kemper-Macon Ware Lodge 64, Scottish Rite Valley of Alexander.
He attended Sebastian United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Gloria; children, Marc Simes, Jr. of Spotsylvania, VA, Capt. John Simes of Palm City, Lisa Drummond of Red Hook, NY, Renee Chase of Ulster Park, NY and Jacki Watson of Sebastian; brother, Carroll Simes of Sebastian; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Simes; and mother, Mildred Simes Wilson.
